I do all kinds of specialist pruning jobs, ranging from roses, to fruit trees to wisteria and everything in between.
To give you a guide as to the kinds of things I do and when I do them, I’ve compiled a list of common things I am asked to prune and when its time to do it. This is by no means an exhaustive list!
Winter: Apples, pears, Black currants, Red currants, Grapes, Wisteria.
Spring: Cornus, Sambucus, Berberis, Mahonia
Summer: Wisteria (second prune of the year), Espalier Apples/Pears, Plums, Cherries.
Autumn: Wind rock pruning of Roses and Buddleja, Raspberries.
Pruning at the right time yields so many benefits, and keeps your plants looking healthy and flowering well the following year!

“Ben has only been working in my (very large and previously rather messy) garden for a few months but I can already see the improvements that his skills are making.
I would thoroughly recommend him.”
